The Avenir Museum of Design and Merchandising is the historic apparel and textiles collection of Colorado State University.
Families visiting the museum will find exhibitions, courses, and public programs that tell global stories of people and their textiles, dress, and interior furnishing, including how they are made and used and what they mean to us.
The Avenir features several new exhibits every year, and the community can visit the exhibits and participate in the lecture series.
The four galleries of the two locations across the CSU Campus are free and open to the public.
The students of the Colorado State University have the chance to work with the collection artifacts according to museum standards of care and handling and learn about apparel and textiles spanning cultures and centuries.
